Ban Vuong Festival of the Dao people in Ho Thau commune

Within the framework of the Culture - Tourism Week of Ho Thau commune in 2025, on the evening of September 21, at Eco Village Resort, Tan Phong village, Ho Thau commune People's Committee organized Ban Vuong Festival - an important spiritual festival of the Dao people.

The Ban Vuong worship ceremony is solemnly performed by the shamans, with all the traditional rituals. This is not only a ceremony to commemorate the ancestor Ban Vuong - the one who founded the Dao ethnic group, but also an opportunity for the community to review customs and beliefs, pray for favorable weather, bountiful crops, and eternal prosperity and happiness for their descendants. Through rituals and cultural activities, the festival contributes to preserving and promoting the value of tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the Dao ethnic group, while promoting the cultural beauty of the Dao people in Ho Thau commune in particular and the Dao community in the province in general to tourists and people of all ethnic groups.

Right after the Ban Vuong worshiping ceremony, the unique fire dancing performance of the Dao people left a strong impression, creating a vibrant atmosphere, attracting a large number of people and tourists.
