Danang International Fireworks Festival DIFF 2025 with the theme "Da Nang

(Fatherland) - Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2025 will take place from May 31 to July 12, 2025, with the theme "Da Nang - The New Rising Era".

On the morning of January 8, the People's Committee of Da Nang City andSun Group Corporation held a press conference to launch the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2025 and a series of colorful accompanying events, promising to make Da Nang continue to be a vibrant center this summer.

According to the organizers, DIFF 2025 will take place from May 31 to July 12, 2025, with the theme "Danang - The New Rising Era". 2025 is the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang City, so DIFF 2025 carries a message of era transition, affirming the city's aspirations and determination in the new period, with a vision of prosperous development and efforts to mark Da Nang's position on the international tourism map.

Speaking at the press conference, Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said that not only acting as a "magnet" attracting domestic and international visitors to Da Nang every summer, since 2008, through 12 times of organization, DIFF has affirmed its position as an international-class festival, and at the same time gradually contributed to making Da Nang the city of leading events and festivals in Asia.

"As the organizer of DIFF, the People's Committee of Da Nang City will direct the Department of Culture and Sports to preside over and coordinate closely with the relevant units of the city with Sun Group and partners to bring a fireworks season worth waiting for domestic and international tourists; at the same time, the People's Committee of Da Nang City will continue to research and invest in further enhancing DIFF, so that Da Nang is worthy of the title "Asia's Leading Festival and Event Destination", Ms. Thi said.

Sharing at the press conference, Mr. Huynh Nam Thang, General Director of Sun Group Central Region, set out longer-term expectations to turn DIFF into a world-class event for tourism in Da Nang in particular and Vietnam in general.

"Having been involved with DIFF for the past 5 seasons, we have realized that in order for DIFF to not only be a short summer light show, but also open up long-term development opportunities, open to all service industries, follow-up investment, contributing to attracting investment, creating more jobs, improving the quality of life for people, and at the same time helping Da Nang maintain its position as the "Central Tourism Capital" and continuously rise on the international tourism map, Da Nang needs to have an investment strategy with a larger, more modern grandstand, along with a "fireworks ecosystem" including resorts, cuisine, shopping, entertainment, especially in the context that many domestic destinations are making positive investment moves in fireworks, typically Phu Quoc has turned itself into a destination with fireworks 365 days a year," said Mr. Thang.

Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh - Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism said that since the beginning of the year, the tourism industry has implemented a plan to promote DIFF. In the coming time, through many activities and promotional programs abroad, Da Nang Department of Tourism will continue to introduce and promote DIFF to international friends.

"The International Fireworks Festival is an opportunity to introduce and promote Da Nang, creating a summer tourist flow that will activate the whole year. With new teams like Korea, it will diversify the city's tourist markets; aiming to make Da Nang the "capital" of Vietnamese fireworks," Ms. Hanh shared.

DIFF 2025 will be the longest and largest fireworks season in the history of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, with 6 fireworks nights and the participation of 10 competing teams from Vietnam, Finland, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Poland, Korea, Italy, Canada, and China.

The opening night of DIFF 2025 is scheduled to take place on May 31, with a match between Vietnam 1 and Finland under the theme of Cultural Essence. This is also the first year that two teams from Vietnam will participate in DIFF.

The fireworks nights will then be held every Saturday night in the following weeks (a week off before the final night), with the following themes and participating teams: Night 2 (June 7): Creative Arts - Vietnam 2 - Poland; Night 3 (June 14) Connecting Journey - Canada - China; Night 4 (June 21) - Sustainable Development - Portugal - UK; Night 5 (June 28) - Leading Technology - Korea - Italy; Night 6 (July 12) - Welcoming the New Era - Final.

This year, DIFF promises not only impressive fireworks displays but also top-notch experiences combining art, music, sports and technological innovation. Each competition night will be a vibrant live concert with the participation of famous domestic and international artists and music idols, combining fireworks, music and modern technology, bringing visitors experiences beyond expectations.

In particular, AR technology will be integrated into the Sun Paradise Land (SPL) application, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in a world of unlimited imagination and creativity with the Da Nang fireworks sky, creating a strong spread. Through unique technological effects, visitors' fireworks experience this year promises to be enhanced.

The venue will be the same as DIFF 2024, including the Han River Port area (shooting ground) and the Tran Hung Dao sidewalk area (performing arts). Accordingly, each night, the teams will have 20 minutes to perform fireworks displays according to the agreed theme.
