This year's Summer Opening Ceremony, Children's Olympic Day, and National Campaign to Promote Swimming for Drowning Prevention attracted the participation of 1,000 students, young people, and their parents. The event included many beneficial activities for students and young people, such as professional training for local instructors, swimming skills classes for children, the Ninh Thuan Provincial Swimming Championship 2024, and various other cultural, artistic, and sports programs.
Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, beat the drum to launch the summer opening ceremony, Children's Olympic Day, and the campaign to encourage all citizens to practice swimming to prevent drowning in 2024.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to focus on organizing effective training courses for local tour guides, swimming skills classes for children, the Ninh Thuan Provincial Swimming Championship 2024, and cultural, artistic, and sports programs that are practical, effective, and beneficial. Regarding the Provincial Youth Union, he requested that the relevant units effectively implement the activities of the Summer Activities Steering Committee, such as the "Semester in the Army" program, the "Learning to be a Police Officer" program in 2024, and other summer activities at the local level and within units; strongly promote the summer youth volunteer movement, focusing on improving the quality of summer review, and simultaneously, intensify efforts to encourage students to attend school.

Departments and agencies are implementing action programs for children, strengthening training on first aid for drowning and injuries in children, ensuring children have a fun, enriching, and safe summer. The People's Committees of districts and cities are organizing the Summer Opening Ceremony, Children's Olympic Day, and launching a nationwide swimming campaign to prevent drowning during the summer, ensuring that the objectives and requirements are met and are appropriate to local conditions. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee called on businesses, organizations, and individuals to contribute human and material resources, invest in facilities, equipment, sports equipment, and swimming pools so that all citizens have the opportunity to practice sports, improve their health, prevent diseases, and minimize drowning accidents for children and the community.
