The Gwangju Billiards World Cup 2025 finals will take place from November 7, gathering the 32 best players, divided equally into 8 groups. The players will compete in a round robin to calculate points and rank. The top two players in each group will participate in the knockout round (16 players). The 7 Vietnamese players competing in this round are: Tran Quyet Chien, Tran Thanh Luc, Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu, Nguyen Chi Long, Chiem Hong Thai, Dao Van Ly, Le Thanh Tien. Of which, Quyet Chien and Thanh Luc are the players who are given special permission to play from the finals because they are in the top 14 of the world rankings.

Tran Quyet Chien meets World Cup billiards champion Antwerp

The 7 Vietnamese players competing include: Tran Quyet Chien, Tran Thanh Luc, Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu, Nguyen Chi Long, Chiem Hong Thai, Dao Van Ly, Le Thanh Tien. Of which, Quyet Chien and Thanh Luc are the players who have been given special permission to play from the final round because they are in the top 14 of the world rankings.

Tran Quyet Chien is in Group C with Martin Horn (Germany), Choi Wan-young (Korea), and Hugo Patino (USA). Vietnam's No. 1 player will take the field at 8:00 a.m. to meet Hugo Patino. Quyet Chien's next two matches will take place at 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Group F has 3 Vietnamese players: Tran Thanh Luc, Nguyen Chi Long, Dao Van Ly and Tolgahan Kiraz (Türkiye). In the opening match at 10am, Chi Long will meet Kiraz, while Thanh Luc will face Van Ly. The next two matches of this group will take place at 2pm and 6pm.

Chiem Hong Thai is in Group H with Heo Jung-han (Korea), Sameh Sidhom (Egypt) and Peter Ceulemans (Belgium). Hong Thai will play his first match against Sidhom at 10:00, then continue playing at 14:00 and 18:00.
