Central region play-off schedule today: Fiery!

After 3 rounds of intense competition, 4 teams have officially been announced for the play-off round of the Central Coast region, including: Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports, FPT Polytechnic College, Hue University and Duy Tan University.

The two play-off matches of the Central Coastal region will take place this afternoon (January 12) at Military Zone 5 Stadium. The matches will be broadcast live on Thanh Nien Newspaper's YouTube channel (link: https://www.youtube.com/@thanhnientvnews/streams)

13:00: Duy Tan University – Hue University

15:00: Danang University of Physical Education and Sports – FPT Polytechnic College

The team of Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports (left) was considered from the beginning as a strong candidate for a place in the national final round.

The play-off match will be played for 80 minutes, in a knockout format. If the match ends in a draw in regular time, the two teams will decide the winner on a penalty shootout. The two teams that win the play-off match will qualify for the national finals of the TNSV THACO Cup 2025, at Ton Duc Thang University Stadium from early March 2025.

The match between Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports and FPT Polytechnic College is the highlight match of the Central Coast qualifying play-off round. In which, Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports is a team with a good foundation and won a ticket to the national final round in its first participation in the 2024 tournament. On the other hand, FPT Polytechnic College is a new phenomenon in the 2025 season, under the leadership of former HAGL player Tran Huu Dong Trieu.

Hue University team determined to participate in the 2nd national final round

The remaining match between Hue University and Duy Tan University also promises to be very exciting. The first champion of the 2023 season, Hue University, is determined to reach the final round, after having to stop early from the qualifying round at home in 2024.
