Famous singer Ngoc Son shares special stories in the program "Artist's Life", from receiving the lowest salary in the Gala 90 group to rare recordings...
In a conversation with the program Artist's Life, famous singer Ngoc Son shared emotional stories about his musical journey, along with a meaningful message to the young generation of artists: "Live for art, for passion, don't think too much about material things or money, it will take away the beauty of an artist".
From the early days of his career, Ngoc Son clearly expressed his views on life and work. Even though he received the lowest salary among the group of famous singers at Gala 90 such as Ngoc Anh, Cam Van, Thy Nga... he never asked for a raise or to do shows outside. "When I was young, I was like that, when I signed a contract with him, I followed his lead, I didn't ask for anything more," he confided.
Famous singer Ngoc Son reveals valuable recordings:
1991 marked an important turning point when Ngoc Son participated in the National Light Music Solo Competition with the song "The Wedding Ring" by musician Tran Tien.
In particular, during the process of searching for documents from the audio archive of the Voice of Vietnam Radio , an interesting discovery was made: Ngoc Son's recording of Noi Dao Xa, which had never been broadcast. Even musician The Song had never heard this recording, until it was shared on social networks.
Besides performing, Ngoc Son is also a musician with immortal compositions such as Remembering You and Loving the Vietnamese Nation . Notably, the song Loving the Vietnamese Nation was composed in one night in Da Nang , after performing in front of tens of thousands of audiences. He recounted the emotional moment when writing this song, remembering the Vietnamese people living abroad and his love for his homeland.
Ngoc Son's musical journey is also marked by songs that have become "national" such as: Mother's Heart, Angry and Father's Love. In particular, Angry only became truly famous after being used in the movie Ru Lai Tinh Gan .
After more than three decades of dedication to music, Ngoc Son still maintains his love and passion for art. His story is not only an inspiration for the younger generation of artists but also a testament to the fact that true success comes from a genuine love for the profession.
