The reason why the MU - Endrick deal fell through

Endrick's future is about to take a new turn as he prepares to join Lyon on a short-term loan.

The decision was made after two English teams, Manchester United and Aston Villa, withdrew from the race after failing to reach an agreement with "Los Blancos".

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid are finalizing the details for Endrick to play in Ligue 1 for 6 months, without a buyout clause, the key point that caused MU and Villa to give up. The two Premier League teams wanted to add a buyout option, but Real insisted on only accepting a pure loan deal, to ensure control of this precious gem's future.

The 19-year-old has just returned from a five-month thigh injury, coming on as a substitute in Real's 4-0 win over Valencia last weekend. However, coach Xabi Alonso seems to be underestimating the young striker.

Contrary to expectations, Endrick has had difficulty breaking into Real's star-studded attack, with Vinicius Jr and Mbappe being the preferred options. Therefore, the loan deal to Lyon is considered a reasonable move to help the 19-year-old regain inspiration and gain experience.

Despite being just 19, Endrick has been under immense pressure since signing for Real Madrid. If his French adventure is successful, he could return to Spain next summer, with the maturity needed to truly compete for a place alongside the world's top stars.

From the bench at the Bernabeu to a chance at a revival at Lyon, this turn could be the biggest turning point in Endrick's young career.
