As a worker on an automobile wire production line, standing continuously for 8-12 hours a day, Mr. HMH discovered signs of varicose veins 10 years ago.

His left leg had prominent, rough blue veins that were unsightly. However, due to his subjectivity, he did not seek early treatment. Recently, the condition worsened with eczema patches appearing around his ankles, and the pain symptoms increased significantly, directly affecting his walking and work.

Introduced by an acquaintance and looking up information on social networks, Mr. H. decided to go for a check-up at the Cardiovascular Intervention Department - Cardiovascular Center.

Here, through examination, blood tests, and lower limb ultrasound, Mr. H. was diagnosed with grade 4 venous insufficiency causing skin discoloration and was prescribed endovascular laser intervention.

After being treated with modern techniques, Mr. H's health improved and he was discharged from the hospital after 3 days of treatment.

Similarly, patient PVN (56 years old, from Thanh Hoa province) was diagnosed with lower limb varicose veins accompanied by congenital vascular malformations in 2011.

Over the past year, the condition has worsened with symptoms of many varicose veins appearing on both legs, accompanied by swelling, pain and frequent cramps at night.

When going to a hospital in the province, the patient was diagnosed with varicose veins of the lower extremities.

Arriving at Phu Tho Provincial General Hospital, the patient was thoroughly examined by doctors at the Cardiovascular Center using vascular doppler ultrasound, performed specialized tests and was diagnosed with left-sided great saphenous vein insufficiency.

After specialist consultation, the doctors prescribed intervention to treat left saphenous vein insufficiency with endovenous laser and Muller for large varicose veins - one of the modern, minimally invasive methods, helping to effectively treat varicose veins without surgery.

Similarly, patient N.D.V. (born in 1973) had had leg pain for many years. When examined, he was diagnosed with varicose veins of the lower extremities and was prescribed surgery.

According to Master, Doctor Nguyen Thi Cam Binh, if varicose veins of the lower extremities are not treated properly, they can lead to many dangerous complications such as thrombophlebitis, limb ulcers, and even blood clots causing pulmonary embolism.

People should see a doctor early when they have symptoms such as: varicose veins under the skin, swollen legs, heavy legs, numbness, night cramps... to get timely advice and treatment.
