Over 150 billion VND to expand Da Nang Hospital

DNVN – On the morning of October 30, the 20th session (special session) of the 10th term People's Council of Da Nang City, term 2021-2026, approved the project to expand Da Nang Hospital with an investment capital of more than 150 billion VND.

According to the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the scale of the Da Nang Hospital project - Expansion, connection of technical infrastructure system and auxiliary items includes compensation, clearance of the state-owned collective housing area managed by the Da Nang Housing Management and Exploitation Center, and signed a lease contract with 9 households.

The old Da Nang Hospital will be expanded, connecting its technical infrastructure with the newly invested and built Cardiovascular Center.

Along with that are 12 land plots of households and individuals that have Certificates of house ownership and land use rights (including 1 household located on the frontage of Hai Phong Street with a side alley larger than 3m and 11 households located at position 2 of Hai Phong Street). Estimated compensation and site clearance costs are more than 80 billion VND.

The dismantling and relocation of existing construction items includes items belonging to the old Da Nang Hospital (1-storey technical building; 1-storey warehouse; 2-storey laundry and supplies building), items belonging to the Cardiovascular Center (1-storey technical building, 1-storey wastewater treatment plant building), technical infrastructure items (power supply system, medical gas supply system for building blocks), relocation of laundry area equipment, medical gas equipment, etc.

The project will build a new technical and auxiliary building with a scale of 3 floors; an additional connecting corridor system on the 2nd floor located outside the Cardiovascular Center area to connect the existing 2-storey bridge with the main staircase hall of the Cardiovascular Center; build a new fence system, gate, guard house; technical infrastructure items...

Regarding land use area, the construction items are located in a land area of ​​about 2,900m2 (of which, the land belonging to the Cardiovascular Center is nearly 820m2, the land belonging to the old Da Nang Hospital is more than 2,000m2); the area of ​​technical infrastructure connection is nearly 600m2. After the adjusted expansion planning, the Da Nang Hospital campus has a total area of ​​about 31,700m2.

According to the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the investment in the project is necessary to complete the technical infrastructure system around Da Nang Hospital and synchronously connect with the newly invested and constructed Cardiovascular Center. Thereby, reorganizing the architectural landscape space, increasing the area and efficiency of the works in the hospital; completing the investment and upgrading of Da Nang Hospital; improving the environment and landscape to serve the work of examination, treatment, health care and better relaxation for the people.

Agreeing with the need for investment and the project's investment objectives, the Urban Committee (Da Nang City People's Council) requested the City People's Committee to review the resettlement plan, resettlement land fund and survey people's opinions to ensure high consensus, especially in cases of resettlement in Cam Le district and households arranged to re-rent apartments, to avoid problems affecting the project's progress later.

The Urban Committee also proposed measures to manage the order of the alley (between the Cardiovascular Center and Da Nang Hospital) after the expansion, ensuring the orderly and safe circulation of vehicles. Assess the hospital's car parking needs to propose comprehensive and synchronous technical solutions and plans to build Da Nang Hospital to meet the standards of a special-class hospital in the future.
