The North is about to welcome increased cold air, some places below 11 degrees Celsius

Currently, a cold air mass in the North is moving south.

The cold air mass will begin to affect the North from the morning of December 3, with some mountainous areas experiencing temperatures below 11 degrees Celsius.

From the morning of December 3, cold air will affect the Northeast, North Central and some places in the Northwest; then spread to the remaining areas of the Northwest and some places in the Central Central.

By the night of December 3, the weather in the North and North Central regions will turn cold, with some areas in the highlands experiencing severe cold. The lowest temperatures will generally range from 15-18 degrees Celsius; in the mountains 13-15 degrees Celsius and some highland areas may drop below 11 degrees Celsius.

In Hanoi , on the night of December 3, the weather turned cold, with the lowest temperature commonly ranging from 15-18 degrees Celsius.

The North welcomes increased cold air, temperatures drop sharply.

From early morning and the morning of December 3, the Northeast wind in the Gulf of Tonkin gradually increased to level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8; rough seas, waves of 2-4m. In the North East Sea, the wind gradually increased to level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9; rough seas, waves of 3-5m.

By the afternoon of December 3, the sea area from South Quang Tri to Hue City and the North of the Central East Sea will have Northeast winds gradually increasing to level 6, gusting to level 7-8; rough seas, waves of 3-5m.

Not only causing cold, the cold air will intensify when combined with the weakened low pressure circulation from storm No. 15 (Koto) and the disturbance of the East wind above will cause moderate to heavy rain over a wide area lasting from the night of December 2 to 5. The strongly affected areas include: Quang Tri - Da Nang , the eastern part of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa.

This cold spell and rain threatens to affect livestock and crops; and increases the risk of flooding in low-lying areas, flash floods in small rivers and streams, and landslides in mountainous areas.

At sea, strong winds and big waves affect ships and activities at sea.
