Early this morning (October 28), heavy rain caused a hill to collapse, burying thousands of cubic meters of earth and rock on the road to Ngoc Nang village, Ngoc Linh commune. Traffic was cut off, completely isolating Ngoc Nang, Mo Po, Sa Ua, Ngoc Lang, and Tu Rang villages with 450 households and more than 1,700 Xo Dang people.
After conducting a field survey, early this afternoon, Ngoc Linh commune mobilized police, militia and local people to open trails along the hillsides and fields to reach and support people in 5 isolated villages.

After much effort, by 3:30 p.m. the same day, the forces had reached the villages, electricity was still available, food was guaranteed and people's mentality was stable.
Currently, Ngoc Linh commune is still experiencing heavy rain, with the risk of landslides continuing to occur. The commune has organized forces on duty 24/7 to be ready to respond and handle any situation promptly.
