Opening a regular vocational intermediate class for ethnic minority workers

In order to improve knowledge and skills for workers in ethnic minority areas, promote tourism and service development associated with the preservation and promotion of cultural values, Dak Lak Secondary School cooperated with the People's Committee and Farmers' Association of Ea Tu commune to open a vocational intermediate class in hotel and restaurant services - Course 2023 - 2025. This is the first regular vocational intermediate class organized in Ea Tu commune.

The class had 31 students, of which 29 were local ethnic minorities. All students were exempted from or had reduced tuition fees and received social benefits according to regulations.

In 18 months (corresponding to 3 semesters), students will be equipped with general knowledge of politics , law, physical education, national defense and security education, etc. Students will also study and practice professional contents including: restaurant and hotel management and business; hotel reception services; hotel accommodation services; information technology, English for restaurants and hotels; marketing and tourist psychology, etc.

In addition to theoretical lessons, students practice and intern at tourism service businesses in Ea Tu commune, applying theoretical knowledge to handle real-life situations and practical requirements in the local tourism and service sector.

It is known that in recent years, the Party Committee and the government of Ea Tu commune have continuously paid attention to the work of preserving and promoting cultural values ​​associated with tourism development. Most villages have maintained and developed traditional gong and dance teams, preserved stilt houses and water wharves with many beautiful landscapes. In the commune, there are also many organizations and individuals developing homestay tourism services, experiencing the traditional culture and life of the Ede ethnic people.
