Ea Tul commune was established on the basis of arranging the entire natural area and population size of 3 communes: Ea Tar, Cu Dlie M'nong and Ea Tul. Ea Tul commune is the new area I, the ethnic minority and mountainous area with 35 villages and hamlets; of which ethnic minorities are 4,901 households with 22,900 people, accounting for 66.53% of the total population of the commune.

In recent times, the Ea Tul commune government has paid attention to promptly, fully and effectively implementing the Party and State's policies and guidelines on investment, support for the poor, policies on health care, protection, social security and economic development programs... to ethnic minorities, contributing to encouraging and helping families improve their lives. Especially in implementing the national target programs on new rural construction and sustainable poverty reduction, the People's Committee of the commune has developed plans and assigned targets to villages and hamlets; continued to implement support policies on preferential credit, support for production development, labor - employment, housing...

Mr. Vo Duy Hoa, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Tul commune, said that the implementation of ethnic programs and policies has always received the attention of the leadership and direction of the Standing Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee; the participation in coordination of propaganda, supervision, and social criticism of the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and the consensus and support of the people. Ea Tul commune also actively propagates, educates, and disseminates the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; organizes meetings with people to listen and grasp people's opinions. "The dialogue and propaganda work is also integrated by the People's Committee with conferences to propagate and disseminate laws in the area; thanks to that, people always believe in the Party's guidelines and policies and laws of the State; feel secure in working and producing, enthusiastically compete, and build increasingly developed villages," said Mr. Vo Duy Hoa.

Identifying ethnic affairs and ethnic policies as important areas in socio-economic development and ensuring the rights of ethnic minorities in the area, Ea Tul commune has been focusing on implementing programs and projects to develop the economy - society, reduce poverty, and improve living conditions for ethnic minorities.

Mr. Vo Duy Hoa added: After implementing the two-level local government, the People's Committee of the commune has developed a plan to propagate in the villages and hamlets of ethnic minorities about the values and traditional cultural identities of the ethnic minority and mountainous communities, protecting territorial sovereignty , local security, propagating laws... according to the National Target Program for socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas. Regarding ethnic minorities, there are currently 6 projects being implemented in the commune; including the project to build houses for ethnic minority families in difficult circumstances, poor and near-poor households; clean water project, giving water tanks to households to store clean water for daily use; supporting livelihoods, sustainable production models; preserving traditional culture; or the project to support cows and goats to help people do business of Coffee 15 One Member Co., Ltd. In addition to disseminating and implementing policies, the People's Committee of Ea Tul commune has also strengthened the deployment and support for people to apply technology and digital transformation. The locality has established community digital technology teams in villages and hamlets to guide and help people carry out public administrative procedures on the electronic system.
