MobiFone and SeABank signed a strategic cooperation agreement: Connecting telecommunications and finance

(Dan Tri) - On the afternoon of October 24, MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation and Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank) signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop a telecommunications - technology and finance - banking ecosystem, enhancing customer experience.

The signing is an important step to maximize the strengths of each party: widespread telecommunications infrastructure, modern digital service platform from MobiFone combined with strong financial capacity, diverse payment solutions and advanced digital banking system of SeABank.

Attending the signing ceremony were Colonel To Manh Cuong - Member of the Board of Members, General Director of MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation; Mr. Le Van Tan - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank SeABank ; along with representatives of the executive board and leaders of functional units of the two sides.

Under the cooperation agreement, SeABank will provide products, payment solutions, money transfers, digital banking infrastructure and comprehensive financial services to MobiFone and MobiFone's customers.

In return, MobiFone will provide telecommunications services, digital solutions and modern technology platforms to SeABank and the bank's partners.

At the same time, the two sides will coordinate to develop integrated product packages to meet diverse market needs such as payment solutions for businesses and business households, and consumer financial services deployed on MobiFone's digital applications.

MobiFone and SeABank will offer preferential telecommunications-financial packages, credit scoring models based on subscriber behavior data, as well as financial-telecom products specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and digital generation customers.

In the next phase, the two parties agreed to jointly research and develop specialized solutions capable of creating competitive differentiation in the market. The strategic cooperation also includes the implementation of co-branded communication programs, integrated marketing campaigns and plans to expand the recognition of the common service ecosystem to millions of customers nationwide.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Colonel To Manh Cuong emphasized: “The signing event is not only a cooperation document, but also a long-term commitment between two organizations that share the same aspiration for innovation, creativity and contribution to Vietnam's digital economy . MobiFone commits to dedicating the best resources, a team of experienced experts and the highest spirit of cooperation to effectively and substantially implement the cooperation contents with SeABank”.

Sharing at the event, Mr. Le Van Tan said: “The two sides will jointly develop digital banking and telecommunications solutions, expand customer access channels, and build a common ecosystem where MobiFone users can easily access SeABank's financial services and vice versa. This is a cooperation model that brings practical and sustainable value to both sides and the community.”

The strategic cooperation agreement between MobiFone and SeABank marks a new step in the roadmap of converging telecommunications technology with digital finance in Vietnam, contributing to expanding access to digital services to the whole society, promoting financial inclusion and creating a foundation for sustainable development in the digital age.
