The strong rise of female-owned businesses

In recent years, Vietnamese women have made strong breakthroughs in the market economy , not only in traditional fields but also leading in many new and challenging fields such as technology, e-commerce, logistics, aviation services... By 2024, the number of women-owned businesses in Vietnam accounts for more than 20% of the total number of operating businesses, expected to increase to at least 30% by 2030.

Not only increasing in number, female-owned businesses are constantly strengthening internally, making many strides in management ability, financial capacity and technology application, creating momentum to strongly rise to become "bright stars" leading the industry, creating jobs and contributing to the economy.

Female businesses are constantly striving to assert their position in the market.

Recognizing the importance of female entrepreneurs in promoting gender equality and enhancing women's economic empowerment, the Vietnamese Government and many domestic and foreign organizations have actively implemented projects and programs to support and encourage women to develop their businesses. Through training activities, capital provision and technical assistance, female entrepreneurs have many opportunities to access credit sources, expand their scale, build sustainable revenue streams and aim for long-term development.

As an important link in the economy, the banking system plays an important role in providing capital and promoting sustainable growth of female-owned businesses. With the orientation of becoming a trusted destination for female-owned businesses, Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( SeABank ) is a pioneer in accompanying and empowering, bringing value to enhance and prioritize female business owners through the activities of SeAPower - Exclusive Club for female business owners. SeAPower operates with the mission of creating a comprehensive financial ecosystem, bringing financial and non-financial values to strengthen the foundation, creating momentum for sustainable development; at the same time, it is a place where knowledge converges, a space for connection and inspiration.

Female-owned customers can also take advantage of short-term capital from the unsecured Visa Corporate credit card with a limit of up to 200 million VND, supporting capital rotation when unexpected needs arise, effectively managing expenses with attractive incentives on interest-free periods, interest rates, etc.

SeABank offers many special incentives for female-owned businesses.

Notably, the policy on credit ratio on collateral value (LTV), up to 100% for collateral assets such as deposits and 95% for real estate, creates conditions for female-owned businesses to access larger loans, optimizing the use of assets to mobilize capital. Other policies of SeABank such as: preferential corporate loan interest rates, free early repayment for short-term loans, priority service mechanism at all transaction points... also help female-owned businesses access finance quickly and conveniently.

In addition to financial incentives, SeAPower accompanies and supports female-owned businesses in expanding connections, improving comprehensive capacity in management, finance, technology, tax, etc. Many community connection activities, training courses, seminars and networking have been organized, successfully bringing opportunities for cooperation, connection, and market expansion for female-owned businesses. Moreover, SeAPower pays attention to the spiritual life of members through health care privileges and developing a balanced lifestyle.

SeAPower is a bridge for SeABank to create a comprehensive ecosystem, supporting female-owned businesses.

Continuing to affirm its commitment to accompany Vietnamese Women's Day on October 20, SeABank organized a specialized training program, focusing on the topic of updating new tax policies and accounting standards. This is useful content for small and medium enterprises, business households in the process of transforming into enterprises, many of which are female-owned enterprises. The program helps strengthen the connection and understanding between SeABank and customers, and at the same time demonstrates SeABank's comprehensive efforts in the journey of supporting female business owners to improve their capacity and accompany them to conquer long-term goals.
