After a day at sea, the pair of fishing boats of fisherman Tran Van Luu in Nghi Thuy ward, Vinh city, Nghe An returned with 26 tons of anchovies - a specialty fish in the sea. With the current price of anchovies, Mr. Luu sold them quickly at the dock and "pocketed" more than 300 million VND.

On the afternoon of February 14, information from Mr. Nguyen Tien Loi - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Nghi Thuy Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An said that on the same afternoon, two fishing boats in the area had just returned after catching a big catch of anchovies. The local authorities immediately went to the wharf to present emulation flags and small gifts to encourage the crew members to stick to the fishing grounds and increase their offshore trips to develop the economy .

Accordingly, in the early afternoon of February 14, two fishing boats numbered NA 99626 and NA 99628 owned by Mr. Tran Van Luu (residing in Nghi Thuy ward, Vinh city) docked after a day of fishing at sea.

The two ships returned with 26 tons of anchovies. Currently, the price of anchovies is fluctuating between 12,000 VND and 13,000 VND per kilogram. Thus, Mr. Luu "quickly sold" them right at the dock to local fish sauce factories and "pocketed" more than 300 million VND.

After the Lunar New Year, fishermen in Nghi Thuy ward increased their offshore fishing trips and stuck to fishing grounds. Many local fishing fleets had a big catch of herring and anchovies, bringing in large incomes. The total output that fishermen in Nghi Thuy ward caught after the Lunar New Year holiday was about 3,000 tons.
