On the morning of June 12th, the Admissions Council for the 2023-2024 academic year of the High School for the Gifted (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) announced the exam results and the cut-off scores for specialized and interdisciplinary classes at the High School for the Gifted.

Accordingly, candidates can check their exam scores using their personal identification code at the following address: https://tuyensinh.ptnk.edu.vn/search
For the 2023-2024 academic year, at the campus in District 5, Chemistry was the most popular subject in the entrance exam with 33 points. This was followed by English with 31.6 points and Mathematics with 30.7 points.
Additionally, the Computer Science subject has two admission score levels for two subject combinations: combination TH1 has an admission score of 29 points, and combination TH5 has an admission score of 22.5 points.
The remaining subjects have admission scores of 28.6 points for Biology; 28.3 points for Literature; 28.2 points for Physics (for combination TH2) and 28 points (for combination TH1).
For campus 2 in Thu Duc City, Chemistry (interdisciplinary) still leads in admission scores with 28.5 points (for combination TH3) and 23 points (for combination TH1). Following that, English (interdisciplinary) has an admission score of 28.2 points.
The remaining subjects, such as Mathematics (interdisciplinary), have admission scores of 27 points; Literature (interdisciplinary) 25 points; Physics (interdisciplinary) 23 points (for combination TH2) and 25 points (for combination TH1); Biology (interdisciplinary) 24.5 points (for combination TH4) and 22.5 points (for combination TH1).

This year, candidates taking the entrance exam for 10th grade at the Gifted High School are required to take four exams: three non-specialized subjects (Mathematics, Literature, and English) and one specialized subject of their choice from among Mathematics, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, and English.
Each candidate may register for a maximum of two specialized subjects in the elective specialized subject exam. If a candidate registers for two specialized subjects, they must ensure they choose one subject from each of the following subject combinations: Group 1 includes Mathematics and Literature; Group 2 includes English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Informatics.
The non-specialized subject exam includes both essay and multiple-choice sections. The specialized subject exam, however, will be an essay-only exam.
Exam scores are calculated on a 10-point scale, with non-specialized subject exams weighted at 1 and specialized subject exams weighted at 2.
