160 students were awarded the "I am a Little Soldier" badge.

On October 5, in Son Tra district, Da Nang city, Battalion 353, Naval Region 3 coordinated with Nguyen Phan Vinh Primary School to organize the program "A day as a tiny soldier" for 5th grade students, with 181 students and teachers participating.

The program “A day as a little soldier” is organized toeducate and widely propagate to teachers and students about the tradition of building, fighting and growing up of the Vietnam People’s Army; the image and noble qualities of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers – Navy soldiers” in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. At the same time, equip students with some basic knowledge about discipline, solidarity, love for the homeland, etc.

Participating in the program, teachers and students were able to practice morning exercises, 16 martial arts movements, 35 combined punches; were instructed in some first aid skills in case of accidents, wound bandaging, and team movements, disassembling and assembling AK 47 guns; visited the Traditional House and watched traditional films of Navy Region 3. At the end of the program, 160 students were awarded the "I am a little soldier" badge.

Talking to us, Mai Ngoc Han, a student of class 5/3, Nguyen Phan Vinh Primary School happily shared: “Through the experience activity “A day as a tiny soldier”, I learned more about the life and living environment in the Army. Through this, I also learned from the aunts and uncles who are officers of Naval Region 3 many stories about the tradition, history of struggle and growth of the unit. I love the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers even more, especially the Navy soldiers who are day and night firmly holding their guns, guarding the peace of the Fatherland.”

With full preparation and close coordination, the success of the program “A day as a tiny soldier” has helped teachers and students of Nguyen Phan Vinh Primary School better understand the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People’s Army in general and the Vietnam People’s Navy in particular. At the same time, the program also contributes to spreading love for the sea and islands; fostering patriotism and national pride in students, the future owners of the country./.
