VTC NewsVTC News23/10/2023

On the afternoon of October 23, a landslide occurred on Khoi Nghia Bac Son Street (Ward 10, Da Lat City, Lam Dong ), causing a 7-seat car and a motorbike to be crushed by rocks and soil. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

At around 1 p.m. the same day, a heavy rainstorm in Da Lat City caused a section of the split stone embankment to collapse, dragging a lot of rock and soil down onto the road surface of an alley on Khoi Nghia Bac Son Street. The landslide crushed a 7-seat car and a motorbike parked close to the foot of the embankment.

The landslide site belongs to a private housing construction project with the main frontage on Khoi Nghia Bac Son Street. The landslide slope is about 20m long and 3m high on the back side, adjacent to a concrete alley leading to a famous tourist attraction and photo studio in Da Lat.

At the scene, large amounts of dirt, rocks, and corrugated iron sheets were lying around, completely blocking the entrance to the film set.

After the incident, the authorities sealed off the scene. The entrance to the tourist attraction and the film studio was sealed off to prevent people and tourists from approaching.

The construction team of the housing project mobilized excavators to level and clear away some of the soil and rocks above to prevent further landslides.
