People need to be on guard against flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas and flooding of rice fields and crops in low-lying areas, heavy rain in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind, flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.
