Ms. Nguyen Thi L. (wife of the assaulted delivery driver) said that due to their difficult family circumstances, the couple had only been working in Hanoi for over a year when the incident of her husband being assaulted occurred.
On the afternoon of February 11th, in the hospital corridor, Ms. Nguyen Thi L. (the wife of the assaulted delivery driver) said she was very worried about her husband's health.
Ms. L. shared that she and her husband are from Thanh Hoa province , and due to difficult family circumstances, they moved from their hometown to Hanoi to work. She works at a small shop, while her husband works as a delivery driver for a bakery located at alley 310/50 Nghi Tam (Yen Phu ward, Tay Ho district).

"My husband and I have two children and we rent a house in Tay Ho district. Every day, we encourage each other to work hard to earn enough income to cover our living expenses," said Ms. Nguyen Thi L.
According to Ms. L, immediately after the incident, she took her husband to the hospital for examination, but the doctors requested further monitoring.
Regarding the incident, the leaders of the Tay Ho District People's Committee (Hanoi) stated that they have directed the District Police to promptly verify and strictly handle the case.
Currently, the Yen Phu Ward Police have summoned the Lexus driver, the male delivery driver, and witnesses to the station for questioning and to record their statements. However, the identity of the person who assaulted the delivery driver has not yet been released.

Also on the morning of the same day, at the Yen Phu Ward Police Station, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung (31 years old, the male delivery driver who was assaulted) had his statement taken by the police and was taken for a medical examination to assess his injuries.
According to Mr. Hung, he still suffers from headaches and dizziness, his right eye remains swollen and torn in several places, and he also experiences nosebleeds.
Earlier, on the evening of February 10th, a video circulated on social media showing a young man, allegedly a delivery driver, being assaulted by a middle-aged man, possibly due to a traffic accident. A security camera at a household in alley 310/50 Nghi Tam recorded a scene where a young man on a motorbike got into an argument with a man driving a Lexus. The man in the Lexus then repeatedly punched and hit the young man in the face. Not stopping there, the man repeatedly kneed and kicked the young man in the face. The incident culminated when the man snatched the delivery driver's helmet to use as a weapon. By the morning of February 11th, the leaders of the Tay Ho District Police had confirmed the incident, and the Yen Phu Ward Police had invited those involved to the station to give statements. |
