Male student in Binh Duong was confined and forced to write an IOU

On October 23, the Investigation Police Agency of Thu Dau Mot City Police, Binh Duong Province is temporarily detaining Nguyen Minh Chien (born 2001, residing in Binh Duong Province) and Tran Huu Tien (born 2001, residing in Binh Phuoc, a student at Thu Dau Mot University) to investigate the act of "illegal detention".

According to the initial investigation of the police, at around 2:00 a.m. on October 20, Chien and Tien invited two more friends to a coffee shop in Phu Hoa 1 residential area (Phu Hoa ward, Thu Dau Mot city) to meet TNT (born 2003, from Ca Mau , student at Thu Dau Mot University) to demand the amount of 6 million VND that T. had previously borrowed.

When they saw T., Chien and Tien rushed in to beat him and demanded that T. call his family to bring money to pay the debt, but T.'s family did not agree.

Next, the group continued to beat and forced T. to write a debt note for 16 million VND. Then they took T. to Chien's rented room in Phu Loi ward, Thu Dau Mot city and locked the door so that T. could not leave.

From the report of a person in this group, the police force administratively inspected the above mentioned room and brought the people involved to the headquarters for questioning.

Working with the police, Chien and Tien admitted their illegal detention.

The Investigation Police Agency of Thu Dau Mot City Police is continuing to investigate and clarify the case.
