Improving the quality of political theory education at district-level political centers

The workshop was attended by representatives of the leaders of the Propaganda Department of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations of the province; the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the district, town, city Party Committees, and Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee; and the directors of the political centers of the districts, towns, and cities. Comrade Le Duc Minh, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the workshop.

According to the report, political theory education plays an important role in helping each cadre and party member gain basic knowledge of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought, the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, as a theoretical basis for practical activities during the working process. At the same time, it equips cadres and party members with the ability and working methods in carrying out the tasks of educating, enlightening, organizing and mobilizing the masses.

Deeply aware of the importance of political theoryeducation , in the past term, Party committees at all levels have always paid attention to leadership and direction, focusing on enhancing innovation, improving the quality and effectiveness of training, fostering and educating political theory for cadres and Party members in the province and achieved many positive results, contributing to improving the quality of ideological work in the Provincial Party Committee.

However, there are still some shortcomings and limitations in political theory education at district-level political centers. The training program content in some classes is still heavily theoretical, not close to practical situations; there is not enough flexibility in implementing current topics, ideological orientation content in the face of new and complex issues; there is a situation where students study perfunctorily, lack discipline, and have little interaction.

The above situation shows the urgent need for solutions to improve the quality of political theory education at district-level political centers, which directly contribute to building a contingent of cadres and party members with sufficient qualities and capacities to meet the requirements of tasks in the new development stage of the province.

The workshop received 15 comments from delegates. The comments analyzed, explained, and clarified the role and significance of political theory education; shared the achievements, shortcomings, difficulties, and lessons learned; new and creative ways of doing things, and groups of solutions to overcome limitations in political theory education, training, and fostering at district-level political centers.

In his concluding remarks at the workshop, comrade Le Duc Minh, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, acknowledged and thanked the profound and dedicated comments, demonstrating the concern and high responsibility of the leaders, lecturers, and cadres directly involved in political theory education in the localities...

He emphasized that the groups of solutions proposed at the workshop are all highly feasible and can be applied in practice, contributing to improving the quality of political theory education in the Provincial Party Committee and political centers today. The contents shared, exchanged, discussed and agreed upon at the workshop will be the basis for the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department to direct, guide and advise the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee to lead the implementation of improving the quality of political theory education in the province in the coming time.
