Capacity building for women's union officials on parenting skills

(Baohatinh.vn) - In order to improve knowledge and skills in building happy families, Ha Tinh Women's Union organized parenting skills training for female cadres.

On the morning of October 24, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union coordinated with the Ha Tinh Women's Union to organize a training course to improve the capacity of union officials and collaborators on parenting skills.

The training course attracted more than 210 participants, women from 15 wards and communes in the area.

The family is the cell of society, the place where human personality is formed and nurtured. In every family, parents play an extremely important role - as teachers and companions of their children on the journey to adulthood. However, in the context of the digital transformation period, with the explosion of technology, social networks and profound social changes, raising children today has become more complicated and requires more knowledge and skills than ever.

Nowadays, many parents are still confused about how to behave with their children, especially in understanding their children, listening to their children, managing their children's use of technology, or in maintaining family bonds and love in the midst of modern life, so organizing parenting skills training classes today is extremely practical and urgent.

At the training session, female delegates from 15 wards and communes: Thanh Sen, Thach Lac, Ha Huy Tap, Toan Luu, Viet Xuyen... were informed and exchanged on topics on parenting skills in the digital transformation period; communication skills and active listening with children; skills to develop emotional intelligence and mental health for children; nurturing family attachment and happiness; positive discipline - replacing corporal punishment and scolding.

Dr. Vu Thi Kim Hoa, Vice President of the Vietnam Association for Protection of Children's Rights, delivered the training topic.

Through that, the capacity of female cadres and members is enhanced, helping students understand the meaning and importance of the role of parents in the comprehensive development of children, thereby accompanying their children.

This is a practical and meaningful activity to equip people with more knowledge and skills, contributing to improving the quality of propaganda work, supporting and accompanying parents in caring for and educating their children, and building happy families.
