4 Ha Tinh candidates won prizes at the tour guide competition

(Baohatinh.vn) - At the 2025 North Central Coast tourism guide competition, the Ha Tinh delegation with 4 contestants won 2 third prizes, 2 consolation prizes and 1 prize for the smartest tour guide.

On the evening of October 23rd, the closing ceremony and awards presentation for the 2025 Expanded North Central Provinces Tourism Guide Professional Skills Competition took place at the Lam Son Traditional Arts Theater (Thanh Hoa province).

The competition was organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province, in coordination with the tourism/culture, sports and tourism departments of Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri and Son La provinces. This is a practical activity aimed at implementing the agreement on tourism development linkages among the expanded North Central provinces, contributing to improving the quality of human resources, and promoting the image and tourism brand of localities in the region.

The organizing committee awarded prizes to the third-place winners, with the Ha Tinh delegation winning two third-place prizes.

The competition featured 25 outstanding contestants, representing over 2,000 tour guides from the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Son La, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City. Among them, the Ha Tinh delegation had 4 contestants participating in the final round.

The contestants participated in five rounds of competition: greetings; knowledge; presentation and situational problem-solving; and talent. The rounds were organized in a lively and creative manner, allowing contestants to demonstrate their professional competence, specialized knowledge, and flexible problem-solving skills in real-life situations.

At the ceremony, the organizing committee awarded two first prizes to Mr. Do Van Dam, a tour guide from Son La province, and Ms. Hoang Thi Hien, a tour guide from Thanh Hoa province; five second prizes, six third prizes, eleven consolation prizes, and five special prizes (including: Golden Intellectual Tour Guide; Inspirational Tour Guide; Most Impressive Performance Tour Guide; Most Intelligent Tour Guide; and Most Talented Tour Guide).

The Ha Tinh delegation, with 4 participants, won 2 third prizes, 2 consolation prizes, and 1 prize for the most intelligent tour guide.

The organizing committee awarded prizes to contestants who received consolation prizes, including two from the Ha Tinh delegation.

Participating in the competition is an opportunity for tour guides from Ha Tinh to interact, learn, exchange experiences, and improve their professional skills; at the same time, it affirms the capabilities, style, and image of Ha Tinh tourism professionals within the expanded North Central region.

Third prize winners include: Ms. Vo Thi Thanh Binh, Management Board of Dong Loc Crossroads and Ly Tu Trong Memorial Area; and Mr. Tran Hau Thong, Thanh Sen International Tourism Company.

The consolation prize winners were: Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Nguyen Du Relic Management Board; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhuan, Ha Tinh Museum.

In addition, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhuan from the Ha Tinh Museum won the award for the most intelligent tour guide.
