Capacity building for gender equality officers in 26 communes - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

From October 27-28, the Department of Home Affairs organized a training conference on capacity development for gender mainstreaming and promoting gender equality (GEM) by 2025 for managers of 26 communes.

Students receive and discuss some prominent gender issues in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

The training course introduced the basic contents of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence, the Law on Gender Equality, Decree No. 70/2008/ND-CP, dated June 4, 2008 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Gender Equality. In addition, trainees also received and discussed prominent gender issues in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; communication on gender equality; gender mainstreaming; how to develop a plan to promote gender equality...

These contents aim to equip commune-level officials with knowledge and skills to integrate gender in state management and raise awareness, responsibility and empathy in promoting gender equality in the community.
