According to reports, heavy rains caused flooding on many roads, submerged crops, and caused landslides in communes and wards such as Phan Thiet, Phu Thuy, Ham Liem, Ham Thanh, Ham Thuan, Binh Thuan , etc.
Local authorities and relevant agencies are currently assessing the damage and assisting people in responding to and mitigating the effects of the floods.
On the morning of October 27th, due to heavy rain, a large volume of water flowed from upstream into area 7, Hoi Nhon hamlet, Ham Liem commune. By 10:00 AM the same day, the water level had risen even higher and flowed rapidly, isolating 12 households in the area.

In response to the situation, the commune police, in coordination with the commune's military forces, approached the scene and urged residents to evacuate from the isolated area to a safe location.
By nearly 12 PM on the same day, authorities had evacuated all residents from the isolated area. Simultaneously, they deployed standby forces to handle any potential emergencies.

Regarding the flood situation in the southeastern part of the province, this morning (October 27), the Lam Dong Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station issued a flood warning for the Luỹ River.

At 9:00 AM on October 27th, the water level on the Luy River at the Song Luy station reached 26.86 meters, 0.36 meters higher than alarm level I. The floodwaters are receding slowly. During the morning and afternoon of the same day, the floodwaters on the Luy River at the Song Luy station are likely to reach 25.9 meters.

Forecasts indicate that rainfall in the river basin will increase in the evening of October 27th and the morning of October 28th, potentially causing a resurgence of flooding on the Luỹ River. The flood peak could reach approximately Warning Level II (27.5 m).
Warning of risk of landslides on slopes and embankments, and flooding in low-lying areas upstream of rivers and streams in the Luỹ River basin in the communes of Sông Lũy, Lương Sơn, Hồng Thái, Bắc Bình, and Phan Rí Cửa.

Flood impact warnings indicate that areas along the rivers and streams in the Luỹ River basin are at high risk of flooding, flash floods, and localized inundation. Low-lying areas and residential areas along rivers and streams should take precautions.
In addition, floods can bury, erode, and waterlog agricultural land, causing flooding of roads and infrastructure, especially in areas along the Luỹ River.
According to the plan of Binh Thuan Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited, at 3 PM this afternoon (October 27th), the amount of water released through the Luuy River spillway will be increased from 200 to 350 m3/s.
Furthermore, due to heavy rainfall, the water level in Nui Dat Lake is currently at +23.73m, 0.23m higher than the normal water level, and is continuing to rise.
Therefore, it is expected that at 6 PM this evening, the company will regulate the flood discharge at Nui Dat reservoir with a flow rate of 1 m3/s. Subsequently, depending on the inflow to the reservoir and the downstream situation, the flow rate will be increased to between 3 and 20 m3/s.
Given the heavy rainfall and reservoir releases, people in downstream areas need to proactively take measures to minimize damage.
