( ABO) Wood carving or also known in many places as wood carving is a traditional profession that has existed for a long time in Luong Phu B hamlet, Luong Hoa Lac commune, Cho Gao district, Tien Giang province. After many different stages of formation and development, currently in Luong Hoa Lac commune there are only nearly 20 households doing wood carving.

Artisan Phan Van Dung chooses motifs and patterns to paint on wood.

With soaring imagination and hands that are attached to chisels and hammers all year round, many artisans have created not only skillfully carved wooden objects such as tables, chairs, beds, cabinets, altars, sofas, etc., but also horizontal lacquered boards, parallel sentences, incense tables, wooden paintings, wooden statues, wooden vases with countless elaborate and sophisticated patterns and motifs.

Before sculpting, the artist sketches suitable patterns.

From the talented hands of artisans, many works using wood carvings have become works of art that are not only highly aesthetic but also carry profound humanistic, spiritual and feng shui values.

The finished work contains passion and creativity.

Currently in Luong Hoa Lac commune there are only nearly 20 households making wood carving.
