State Bank supports 100,000 billion VND for agriculture, forestry and fishery sector

On April 15, 2025, the State Bank of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch No. 2756/NHNN-TD requesting commercial banks to implement the Credit Program for the agriculture, forestry and fishery sectors with a total scale of up to VND 100,000 billion.

This is a step to concretize the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister in Resolution No. 46/NQ-CP dated March 8, 2025 on the regular Government meeting in February 2025 and Directive 05/CT-TTg dated March 1, 2025 on increasing the scale of the credit program for the forestry and fishery sector to over VND 100,000 billion and expanding the scope and participants to the Credit Program for the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector.

According to the State Bank, the borrowers are customers with projects/plans serving production and business activities in the fields of agriculture, forestry and fishery. The program will be implemented until the loan turnover reaches 100,000 billion VND (according to the registered level of commercial banks).

Banks participating in this program include: Agribank, BIDV, VietinBank, Vietcombank, LPBank, Sacombank, MB, ACB, Nam A Bank, OCB, Eximbank, BVBank, SHB , HDBank and VietBank. They monitor and compile statistics on the results of the Program's implementation and are responsible for the accuracy of the data reported to the State Bank and provided to other relevant agencies (if any).

Commercial banks are responsible for implementing the Program's commitments (regarding subjects and interest rates).

In addition, the State Bank also encourages other credit institutions to proactively participate in the program if qualified, on the basis of fully complying with the instructions in this official dispatch and official dispatch 5631 in 2023.
