Tourism industry seminar on training, fostering and developing human resources

In her opening speech, Ms. Nguyen Lan Ngoc - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan said that tourism development is currently attracting a large number of direct and indirect workers in the tourism sector in the locality. This requires professional training for the workforce in tourism businesses and tourism services to ensure the quality of service to customers, especially international customers. Therefore, the seminar was organized to listen to opinions on training and fostering human resources for tourism in Binh Thuan as well as to strengthen the practical and effective connection between businesses and training facilities inside and outside the province.

The seminar was chaired and co-organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan in Phan Thiet City.

Here, representatives of leaders of departments, associations and businesses related to the tourism sector focused on discussing the current labor situation in the industry, recruitment needs and solutions to improve the quality of human resources. For training institutions, information was provided on the situation of attracting students to study in tourism faculties and majors as well as some training contents associated with business practices. Proposed solutions to increase the effectiveness of training and fostering tourism human resources in Binh Thuan in the post-Covid-19 pandemic period and in the context of digital transformation and international integration. Along with that, discussed the direction of connection in training, improving the quality of tourism human resources between associations, businesses and related schools, departments and sectors...

After the seminar, Binh Thuan tourism industry hopes that this work will be focused on by relevant parties, and cooperation will be strengthened to bring practical results, suitable to local conditions. Thereby contributing to improving the quality of human resources for the industry, meeting the requirements of tourism development - one of the economic pillars of Binh Thuan in the coming time.
