Nghe An opens international container route Cua Lo - Dongguan

On the morning of September 24, at Cua Lo Port, Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company in collaboration with YCKY Shipping Line officially opened an international container route directly connecting Cua Lo (Nghe An) - Dongguan (China). This is considered an important milestone, opening up great opportunities for import and export activities of Nghe An province in particular and the North Central region in general.

Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Trung Thanh - Deputy Director of Nghe An Maritime Port Authority. On behalf of Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company, there were Mr. Bui Kieu Hung - General Director of the Company and representatives of relevant units.

On the customer side of YCKY Shipping Company, there are Mr. Jiang Hong Jun - General Director; Sun Yan Yin - Deputy General Director.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Bui Kieu Hung - General Director of Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company emphasized: The opening of a new shipping route, especially an international container route, has great strategic significance. This transport route will help local businesses shorten time and logistics costs, create favorable trading conditions, and improve the competitiveness of goods in the international market.

Accordingly, goods from Nghe An and neighboring provinces can be transported directly from Cua Lo to Dongguan instead of having to transit through other major ports, contributing to cost savings, improving efficiency and ensuring progress. This is an important opportunity to promote import and export turnover, especially for agricultural products, aquatic products, construction materials and light industry in the region.

The leaders of Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company affirmed that today's results were achieved thanks to the close support and direction of Nghe An Maritime Administration, Cua Lo Port Border Guard Station, Cua Lo Border Customs, and the close coordination of agencies and departments. This event also shows the determination of Nghe Tinh Port in improving service quality, ensuring cargo safety, and building long-term cooperative relationships with international shipping lines.

Representatives of participating businesses assessed that this new transport route will create more development momentum for import-export companies in the area; at the same time, expressed their wish to receive comprehensive support from State management agencies so that this international container route can operate stably and long-term.

With the characteristic of being the nearest sea gateway of the North Central region and neighboring Laos, Cua Lo Port has an important strategic position in the regional logistics chain.
