Proud to bring homeland into the historical lineup
When asked about the journey of preparation for the historic parade that will take place on April 30, 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City, My Hanh could not hide her emotions. During nearly 5 months of continuous training in Dong Nai, My Hanh and her teammates have gone through many difficulties and challenges. Every day, Hanh's team had to practice from early morning to late afternoon.
The scorching heat of Dong Nai in March and April burned our skin and soaked our uniforms with sweat. During practice sessions, my feet and those of my friends were blistered, some were bleeding. Despite the pain, Hanh and her team still persevered, thinking of the sacred mission they were shouldering.
Born and raised in Chau Binh, Giong Trom district, Ben Tre province, My Hanh is always deeply aware of the indomitable patriotic tradition of her homeland - the origin of the heroic Dong Khoi movement. Whenever she is tired or in pain, Hanh tells herself, "I am not only a student of the People's Police College II but also a representative of my homeland, the Coconut land, I must be proud and steadfast."

According to My Hanh, the image of her homeland, family, and the hard-working, resilient people of Dong Khoi land is always an invisible source of strength that gives her the confidence and will to overcome all the fatigue and challenges during the training process. Under the dedicated and enthusiastic guidance of the training staff, each movement and step of the female special forces team gradually becomes more regular and stronger.
“We learn how to walk in sync, raise our arms correctly, and coordinate well in formation. It’s not just about skills, but also about discipline, perseverance, and team spirit…”, My Hanh said.
Dream of continuing tradition, living a life of dedication
Now, My Hanh and her teammates are all nervous, excited and ready for the official parade on the morning of April 30, 2025. My Hanh said: “Everyone on my team is excited. We put all our efforts into the final practice sessions, reviewing every movement, every breath. We want every step in the parade to not only show solemnity, but also pride and gratitude to the generation of ancestors who fell for independence and freedom.”
For My Hanh, the moment of walking across the stage was not simply the completion of a training mission. It was a sacred moment, where she was immersed in the flow of national history, and was grateful with her own heart.
Sharing her personal journey, My Hanh said she graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports, then volunteered to join the police force. While still a conscript, My Hanh took the entrance exam to the police academy twice. She was sad when she failed the first time, but she did not give up. After 2 years and 4 months of completing her duty, My Hanh took the exam again and was lucky to be admitted to the People's Police College II.

Looking back on the past, My Hanh understands more than ever the value of perseverance and the will to constantly strive forward. “If our ancestors steadfastly persevered through the bombs and bullets of war, then today’s young generation must also strive, study, and practice to be worthy of those sacrifices. I will try to study, practice ethics, and have a strong political will, so that after graduating, I can serve the people and the country well, contributing to protecting the peace of the Fatherland,” My Hanh confided.
On the eve of the ceremony, My Hanh sent a message of thanks to her family, teachers, relatives and especially her beloved hometown Ben Tre - the heroic land that gave birth to and raised her. "Thank you for the lessons from the Dong Khoi tradition, from the indomitable resilience of many generations of predecessors. It is thanks to my hometown that I have a deep love for my country and an indomitable will" - Hanh confided.
With a heart full of pride, the young girl believes that on April 30, 2025, every step of her and her teammates will be like the strong heartbeat of the young generation - steadfast, united, and looking towards the future. My Hanh is determined to do her best, "so that today's steps become tomorrow's pride".
