Sharing about improving the initiative in discovering news and organizing news articles on infrastructure, journalist Cao Quynh - News Department - Quang Ninh Media Center said: The News Department currently has 40 people including: leaders, editors, reporters, announcers and cameramen. The News Department is the center for producing news closely following events taking place in the province; providing news bulletins for Quang Ninh Television Channel; providing press works for Quang Ninh Radio Channel, daily printed newspapers, electronic newspapers, and the province's general information portal. In addition, the Department is also responsible for performing other tasks assigned by the Director of the Provincial Media Center.

With an important task and a lot of pressure not only on time but also on qualifications, capacity, and enthusiasm, journalist Cao Quynh said that the News Department is currently assigned to produce 7 TV News bulletins/day, develop plans, produce, and edit pages 1, 2, 3, and 4 on Quang Ninh Newspaper every day, the Electronic Newspaper, and provide news to the infrastructure of the Provincial Media Center. On the basis of the unified press agencies, together with the departments of the Provincial Media Center, the News Department also immediately started operating according to the model of "Multimedia convergence newsroom, multi-type reporters, using information technology as the foundation", gradually implementing digital transformation by digitizing all data, computerizing all stages in the Convergence Newsroom model to exploit the power of all types of journalism. Electronic newspapers, television and radio are multimedia, multi-platform newspapers that update information 24/7 to meet the public's need for quick and timely information.
“All reporters and editors of the News Department immediately started working on multimedia journalism. A reporter works on multiple platforms when working on a journalistic work; each stage of work is professionalized, information is synchronized on television, radio, electronic newspapers, print newspapers, social networks, etc. The information content is implemented on the publications and channels of the Center to ensure consistency, speed, and accuracy on all infrastructures, with high information value and orientation..” - journalist Cao Quynh emphasized.
Journalist Cao Quynh also acknowledged that reality has shown that the effectiveness of press information when promoted will become a great force, contributing to the formation of public opinion, building the dominant ideology of society, turning awareness into action in a positive direction to contribute to reforming and building a better society. In response to the new requirements of development, all types of press information aim for a high-quality goal, valuing political quality, cultural quality, scientific quality and professional quality of information.
Therefore, the efforts of journalists in the news sector must be increasingly enhanced to meet the requirements of timely information and the direction of the province, localities, departments, branches and sectors, to promote the propaganda of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, to encourage the spirit of patriotic emulation and to mobilize the masses to actively participate in implementing socio- economic tasks.
Diversify ways of presenting information on infrastructures
To meet the province’s sustainable development needs and the public’s increasing demand for information, journalist Cao Quynh believes that it is necessary to have more determination to innovate from each journalist to the common efforts of the provincial press. Journalist Cao Quynh shared:
First of all, each cadre, reporter, editor and cameraman needs to raise awareness, responsibility and initiative in detecting information. Regularly research, learn and read the directives and management documents of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and departments, branches, localities and the Information Exploitation Center, grasp the propaganda orientation, and promptly transmit information. This is an official source of information with high accuracy and speed. At the same time, exchange regularly, closely connect, and increase interaction with the grassroots to promptly grasp information. On that basis, regularly exchange and ask for opinions from department and agency leaders to have timely instructions, as well as information exploitation orientation.
In addition, each different infrastructure has different processes, requirements for operations, implementation and production. In addition, each TV news program has its own criteria, topics and duration. Therefore, each officer, reporter and editor needs to improve their skills in many ways to be able to proactively produce news articles on different infrastructures and news programs.
Along with that, implementing the 2024 theme of the Provincial Media Center on digital transformation, as well as meeting the task of comprehensive digital transformation, requiring the press to change the way of conveying information in a multimedia direction is also one of the top priorities to improve propaganda effectiveness. Therefore, each officer, reporter, editor and cameraman needs to diversify the way of presenting news on infrastructures such as combining the use of graphics, clips, sounds, etc.
