Youth News Agency pioneers innovation and creativity in the new era

The Congress elected the 28th Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 21 members, and elected delegates to attend the 1st Congress of the Government Youth Union for the 2025-2030 term. Secretary of the Youth Union of VNA Le Minh Duc was re-elected for the 2025-2030 term.

Speaking at the Congress, Party Secretary and General Director of VNA Vu Viet Trang praised and highly appreciated the results achieved in the past term. The VNA Youth Union has made a strong impression on both fronts: Union work and professional activities.

General Director Vu Viet Trang said that entering the 2025-2030 period, the domestic and international situation will change rapidly, the 14th National Congress of the Party will bring the country into a period of strong breakthrough development; the Fourth Industrial Revolution and artificial intelligence (AI) will shape all areas of development and media activities. This is both a challenge and a great opportunity, opening up space for journalism to develop, in which young people will play a key role.

General Director Vu Viet Trang suggested that it is necessary to strengthen political and ideological education and inherit the industry's traditions. Young people should focus on learning and spreading knowledge about digital journalism, data journalism, applying modern technology to their work fields and pioneering in digital transformation activities of VNA as well as its affiliated units.

On this occasion, General Director Vu Viet Trang hopes that the leaders of the units will continue to encourage and create conditions for young people to have the opportunity to study, conduct scientific research, improve their political and professional qualifications; undertake difficult projects and tasks, and promote their youth, enthusiasm and creativity. Each movement and project must be a mark for the development of the industry and the VNA Youth Union. The Party Committee and the agency's leadership always pay attention to and create conditions for young staff to be trained, challenged and mature in the work of the Youth Union and through practice. The slogan "News Agency Youth: Pioneer - Courage - Solidarity - Creativity - Humanity" will be the guiding principle for all actions.

Evaluating the results of the 2022-2025 term, General Director Vu Viet Trang said that political and ideological work has had many innovations and creativity. The innovation of diverse propaganda methods, especially the Fanpage "Thanh Nien TTXVN", has attracted a large number of union members to participate. The talk shows "Lighting the fire of the profession", "Youth project of digital transformation", and the active participation of union members in important events of the industry and the country have spread love for the Fatherland, pride in the industry and responsibility for the profession.

There have been 403 press awards at all levels won by young reporters and journalists. Many young reporters and journalists have won prestigious awards such as the National Press Award, the "Golden Hammer and Sickle" Award, the National Award for Foreign Information, the Political Contest to Protect the Party's Ideological Foundation; and have been honored at regional and international press competitions and awards. Tuoi Tre News Agency is always the leading force, pioneering in implementing hot topics, ready to be present in areas of natural disasters, storms, floods, and epidemics to promptly reflect issues of public concern.

The Youth Union has proactively proposed initiatives and applied new technologies in professional activities; organized seminars on AI applications in translating and editing international news, helping union members keep up with modern journalism trends. Movements such as: Dinh Huu Du Bookcase, Light up red addresses, Build houses of gratitude; Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; For a green Vietnam have been widely deployed. The Youth Union has supported more than 1,800 disadvantaged children; organized the program "Say no to fake news", helping students identify bad and toxic news, contributing to building a healthy online environment. During the term, the Union introduced 89 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and admission, accounting for nearly 80% of the total number of new party members of the entire Party Committee.

Secretary of the VNA Youth Union Le Minh Duc said that the goal for the next term is to strengthen the study and dissemination of Party resolutions, State policies and Youth Union resolutions; organize training programs, and foster skills and expertise for union members. Union bases will organize at least 20 thematic activities and each base will have at least 1 youth project related to expertise. The Union strives to preside over 1 scientific research topic, award at least 200 journalism prizes, reward 30 union members, present 10 Dinh Huu Du Bookcases, support 2,000 disadvantaged children, plant 20,000 trees and introduce 60 outstanding union members to the Party.

The Vietnam News Agency Youth Union Congress is an important political forum for young people to express their will and determination to contribute their capacity and youthful energy to the successful implementation of the industry's political tasks. The youth of Vietnam News Agency are determined to strive, overcome all difficulties and challenges, successfully implement the goals and tasks set by the Congress, continue the heroic tradition of the industry, and step firmly into the new era.
