With the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and contributing to ensuring social security in the area, the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Sop Cop district has effectively implemented the State's credit policies, helping many poor households and policy families access preferential capital to develop their family economy and gradually improve their lives.
Currently, the Transaction Office is focusing on implementing the Government 's credit lending programs, such as: lending to poor households, near-poor households, households that have just escaped poverty, lending to poor households to build houses, lending to build clean water and rural environmental sanitation systems, lending to production and business households in difficult areas... The unit closely follows the direction of the superior and local banks, mobilizes financial resources, and transfers capital to the right beneficiaries. In its operations, the Office organizes public transactions at transaction points of 8 communes; consults with the Board of Directors of the District Social Policy Bank to allocate lending targets to each commune; builds and consolidates savings and loan groups at the grassroots level, creating the most favorable conditions for people to borrow capital.

Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Director of the District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office, said: The office has coordinated with the district's youth organizations to deploy 14 credit programs in 100% of communes and villages. Up to now, the total outstanding debt is over 360 billion VND, providing loans for nearly 6,600 poor households and policy families. To ensure that the loan capital is used for the right subjects and for the right purposes, the unit and unions regularly inspect households in the use of loans. Since the beginning of the year, 8 direct inspections have been conducted at 616 households borrowing capital. Through the inspection, all households borrowing capital have used the loan capital for the right purposes and promoted the effectiveness of the loan capital, creating jobs and increasing income.
Implementing Resolution No. 181/NQ-CP of the Government on adjusting the spending tasks for implementing preferential lending policies through the Bank for Social Policies according to Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP on the socio-economic recovery program, the Transaction Office has disbursed 10/15 billion VND from the loan capital to create jobs, maintain and expand jobs for nearly 200 local workers. Currently, the unit is focusing on disbursing to complete the plan to deliver to the right beneficiaries.
Since the separation, the family of Mr. Vi Van Phanh, Phong village, Nam Lanh commune, has faced economic difficulties. In 2016, his family was able to borrow 30 million VND from the district's Social Policy Bank to renovate the mixed garden and grow high-quality fruit trees. He actively learned more production experiences from households in the commune. Up to now, his family has 2 hectares of fruit trees, and after deducting expenses, the annual profit is over 250 million VND. Mr. Phanh shared: Now, my family has paid off all the debt. I continued to receive a loan from the Transaction Office of 100 million VND to buy seedlings and seedlings to expand the scale of production.
Mr. Tong Van Binh, Ban village, Sop Cop commune, said: In 2021, my family borrowed 40 million VND from the Social Policy Bank, together with savings, the family built a new, solid and spacious house. Now I feel secure in working and producing to stabilize my life.
Preferential capital from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies has become an important resource in poverty reduction, a "fulcrum" for many families to stabilize their economy and implement the criteria of the National Target Program on New Rural Development of the district. At the same time, it is an important condition for sustainable poverty reduction, contributing to reducing the poverty rate from 37.8% in 2021 to 30% in 2023.
Promoting its role as one of the important credit channels to help poor households and policy families develop the economy and reduce poverty, the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Sop Cop district continues to closely follow the programs, goals and annual economic and social development plans to disburse funds.
