Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh and Dinh Anh Hoang won the 2025 National Excellent Racket Table Tennis Championship

Two tennis players Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh and Dinh Anh Hoang excellently won the two final matches of the men's and women's events, to be crowned champions of the 2025 National Excellent Racket Table Tennis Championship, which took place on the afternoon of October 31 in Hai Phong.

To reach the final, tennis player Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh defeated senior Nguyen Thi Nga 4-1 in a dramatic semi-final match in the morning. The female tennis player from Ho Chi Minh City played effectively, showing her professional superiority and reaching the final.

Her opponent in the final was Tran Mai Ngoc (T&T People's Police). In the semi-finals, Mai Ngoc unexpectedly defeated Mai Hoang My Trang (Ho Chi Minh City) with a narrow 4-3 victory. However, Mai Ngoc could not maintain the same excitement as she had in the semi-finals. In the final, this player was almost "locked" by Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh with tricky loops and had to accept defense. With the strength in the loops, the player from Ho Chi Minh City won convincingly with a score of 4-0 (11-6, 11-5, 11-5, 11-4). The victory helped Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh win the gold medal in the women's singles. Last year, she missed out on the championship when she lost the final match to her senior Mai Hoang My Trang. This year, Dieu Khanh achieved her goal of changing the color of the medal.

The men's final that followed was a confrontation between home player Nguyen Duc Tuan and Dinh Anh Hoang (T&T People's Police). Duc Tuan defeated Le Dinh Duc (T&T People's Police) in the semi-finals to advance to the gold medal match, while Anh Hoang defeated Bui The Nghia (Army) in the semi-finals.

The first game was played at a fast pace with many back-and-forths between the two players. However, Dinh Anh Hoang took the advantage and quickly won 11-5. In the second game, Duc Tuan had a chance to regain the balance but unfortunately lost 11-13. In the remaining games, the Hai Phong player continued to lose 5-11 and 8-11. In the end, Duc Tuan lost 0-4 and the championship title and gold medal went to Dinh Anh Hoang.

The National Excellent Racket Tournament is also the final tournament in the national competition system in 2025 of Vietnamese table tennis.
