10 gold medals, 3 silver medals, 6 bronze medals in all competitions, great results of Vietnamese canoeing
According to the Vietnam Sports Administration, Vietnamese rowers won a total of 10 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 6 bronze medals at the youth canoeing championship, the Asian U.23 championship and the Southeast Asian championship, held in Thailand from June 9-15.
In the Southeast Asian championship, Vietnamese canoeing won 3 gold medals and 2 bronze medals. The 3 championships belonged to rower Pham Hong Quan (C1 500m event); the pair Nguyen Thi Huong - Diep Thi Huong (C2 500m event); athletes Ma Thi Thuy and Nguyen Thi Huong (women's 200m double boat event).

Impressive competition results are not only the result of individual efforts, but also demonstrate the effectiveness of systematic and strategic investment by the Vietnamese sports industry. Besides, young athletes such as Diep Thi Huong, Nguyen Hong Thai, Ma Thi Thuy, Phung Ngoc Diem, Mac Thi Thanh Thuy, Ma Thi Dieu Ngoc, Tran Thi Quynh competed excellently.
In particular, in the women's four-sculls event, the team made history by winning the silver medal for the first time at the Asian U.23 Championship. The four young girls who won this historic silver medal were Hoang Thi Huong, Bui Mai Hanh, Hoang Thi Lam, and Nguyen Thi Mai.
These are athletes who are gradually asserting their names and are ready to inherit the strength of their seniors in the long-term development strategy of Vietnamese rowing in the Asian arena.
