Minh Nhat (born 2002) lives in Hanoi , is a vocal student at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. She has loved singing since she was very young, her idol is Taylor Swift.
Before that, she majored in History at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. Minh Nhat was an excellent student and achieved an IELTS score of 8.0. At Ams, she joined the Ams Glee Club - a prominent art club of the school - as a singer.
After graduating from high school, Minh Nhat chose to study communications at RMIT University. But perhaps because her passion for music was still flowing in her soul, in 2022, at the age of 20, she made a bold decision: Stop studying at RMIT to prepare for the entrance exam to the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
With the dedicated guidance of People's Artist Quoc Hung, Minh Nhat passed the entrance exam to the intermediate level of the largest music training school in Vietnam. Here, she was tutored by vocal instructor - Sao Mai Huong Ly.
Having a natural talent and passion for music, and a good academic background, she always achieved academic results above 9 points in both specialized and general subjects, and was awarded as an excellent student by the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
Singer Huong Ly, the vocal instructor who directly taught Minh Nhat, said that her student possesses a lyric soprano voice with a warm and rich timbre.
Huong Ly commented: "Minh Nhat easily performs smooth melodies or transforms into a princess with a playful, humorous, clear and cheerful voice in musicals.
Having a good sense of music, he is also very studious and diligent in practicing his profession, so his singing voice improves and develops every day."

People's Artist Quoc Hung - Deputy Director in charge of the Vietnam National Academy of Music - shared that he was impressed with Minh Nhat from the moment her parents brought her to him to ask to study vocal music.
"I find it strange that a Gen Z girl who is very good at foreign languages is so passionate about classical music. Minh Nhat has loved opera since she was a child, and has studied operas and arias very deeply since she was a child.
When Minh Nhat was admitted to the school, due to my busy work schedule, I could not continue teaching him so I transferred him to the young lecturer Huong Ly. During the whole learning process, I still followed him and saw that the teacher and student got along very well, and Minh Nhat made remarkable progress," said People's Artist Quoc Hung.
After nearly 3 years of studying vocal music at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, Minh Nhat decided to participate in international music competitions to test himself and gain experience.
In July 2024, she participated in the Chicago International Music Competition in the US. Although she did not win any prizes, Minh Nhat learned a lot and the experiences from this competition contributed significantly to her victory at the ZhongSin International Music Competition.
When her name was announced as the First Prize winner at the ZhongSin International Music Competition, Minh Nhat was overwhelmed with surprise and happiness. Perhaps because the contestants from other countries were so talented and professional, she did not think she would win the highest prize.
Minh Nhat said that her recent achievement at the ZhongSin International Music Competition is a great encouragement for her to continue pursuing her dream of becoming an opera singer.
People's Artist Quoc Hung added: "I am very happy that Minh Nhat was awarded First Prize at the ZhongSin International Music Competition. He deserves to be an example for young people of the Vocal Music Department to follow."
ZhongSin International Music Competition is a competition sponsored by the governments of China and Singapore and agencies such as UNESCO, the International Music Management Association...
This is the first music competition to be certified with the international quality management system ISO 9001, becoming one of the most professional and comprehensive competitions in Singapore over the past 19 years.
