However, reasonable adjustments helped Nguyen Thuy Linh equalize the score before breaking away to win 21/13 in the first set.

Sharing after the victory, Nguyen Thuy Linh said that her semi-final opponent Lin Hsiang Ti was not as difficult as in the previous quarter-final match, but in the second set, the Taiwanese player had some annoying long shots, scoring important points.

A 2-0 victory over Lin Hsiang Ti put Nguyen Thuy Linh in the final of the women's singles at the 2024 Vietnam Open badminton tournament taking place tomorrow. Thuy Linh's opponent in the final is Japanese player Kaoru Sugiyama (ranked 48th in the world). "I have never faced Kaoru Sugiyama before, so I will rest and prepare well for the final. Playing at home with the support of so many fans makes me very happy and that is also the motivation for me to keep trying," Nguyen Thuy Linh shared.
