Musician Duc Phu excellently won the A Prize at the 2025 National Open Music Festival

(DTO) On the evening of November 2, at the Ho Chi Minh City Theater, the closing ceremony of the 2025 National Open Music Festival with the theme "Music Convergence and Spread" took place.

The 2025 National Expanded Music Festival is organized by the Vietnam Musicians Association in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports , Ho Chi Minh City Television, and the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association, from October 29 to November 2, at the Southern Army Theater and Ho Chi Minh City Theater.

This is a music event to honor and spread the artistic values ​​of Vietnamese music, and at the same time, it is an opportunity to connect, share and learn from the experiences in the professional activities of musicians, artists and music lovers across the country.

The 2025 National Expanded Music Festival includes: Festival of musical works; Festival of Vietnamese voices and solo musical instruments (Repertoire Festival). The works and repertoires participating in the Festival focus on reflecting the themes of the Party, Uncle Ho, the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, love for the homeland, country, culture, traditional Vietnamese people and in the era of national development; culture and international friendship.

According to the Organizing Committee, there are over 600 musicians and artists from 38 Vietnam Musicians Associations from provinces and cities across the country attending this year's festival. With 186 works introduced through 7 performances, musicians, singers and artists from many associations, art units and training facilities across the country have created a diverse, lively and vibrant musical picture.

At the end of the Festival, the Organizing Committee awarded 15 A-prize winning works; 41 B-prize winning works; 14 Gold Medals and 18 Silver Medals to the performances. In which, Musician Duc Phu - Deputy Director of Dong Thap Provincial Cultural Center excellently won A-prize with the work El Ni No - La Ni Na.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded two categories: Impressive Performing Artist Award and Promising Singer Award and awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 units.
