On December 13th, the Vietnamese sports delegation won an additional 6 gold medals, bringing the total number of gold medals to 30 after 3 days of official competition at the SEA Games 33.
Karate had a successful day of competition, winning 3 gold medals in 4 finals, thanks to athletes Hoang Thi My Tam, Nguyen Thanh Truong, and Dinh Thi Huong. In Taekwondo, Tran Thi Anh Tuyet brought home a gold medal on the final day of competition. This is the 4th gold medal for Vietnamese Taekwondo at this year's Games, thus exceeding the set target.

Athletics continued to be a highlight with a convincing victory by Nguyen Thi Oanh in the women's 5,000m event. The athlete from Bac Giang demonstrated her superiority, finishing with a large lead over her competitors. This gold medal brings her total number of SEA Games gold medals in her career to 13, thus equaling the record of Nguyen Thi Huyen.
Concluding the day on December 13th, the mixed 4x400m relay team, consisting of Le Ngoc Phuc, Nguyen Thi Hang, Nguyen Thi Ngoc, and Ta Ngoc Tuong, performed excellently, winning the gold medal and breaking the SEA Games record.
On December 12th, Vietnamese athletes continued their successful performance, winning 10 more gold medals, bringing their total to 24 gold medals after three days of competition.
Today (December 13th), Vietnamese athletes are competing in 30 sports, many of which are finals. Swimming, athletics, martial arts, shooting... continue to be expected "gold mines" for the Vietnamese sports delegation.

Notably, track and field athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh will compete in the first of her three registered events at the SEA Games, the 5000m race. The golden girl of Vietnamese athletics has won 4 gold medals at the 32nd SEA Games and currently has 12 gold medals across all SEA Games. Nguyen Thi Oanh has a great opportunity to surpass the record of Nguyen Thi Huyen (13 gold medals at the SEA Games) and become the "Queen of Athletics" of Vietnamese sports.
