Reporting to VTC News, Ms. T. (a parent whose child attends Alpha School) said that since last Wednesday (April 22), her daughter has been experiencing dull abdominal pain of unknown cause.
"My child kept complaining of stomach pain and diarrhea, along with a slight fever. Up to now (April 28), he is still complaining of pain, the family decided to hospitalize him and the doctor diagnosed him with enteritis," said Ms. T.
Not only Ms. T's family, but many other parents in the school also reported that their children were in similar situations, some of whom had to be hospitalized for observation.
Worried about food poisoning in their children, parents asked the school to coordinate in clarifying the process of managing boarding meals.

VTC News reporters contacted Alpha School leaders many times but they refused to respond to information.
On April 24, Alpha School sent a notice to parents, affirming that the process of preparing and serving meals is always strictly implemented according to food hygiene and safety regulations. After a thorough review, the possibility of the cause originating from food was ruled out by the school, due to the inconsistent symptoms, timing, and number of affected students.
The school's Board of Directors also had a working session with representatives of parents and the Hanoi Food Safety and Hygiene Department, in conjunction with the Hoai Duc District Preventive Medicine Center.
At the working session, the inspection report of the working group determined that the legal documents on food safety, actual conditions, and food sample storage of the school were all in accordance with regulations.
While waiting for the results of food and water sample tests, the school has replaced all filter cartridges and will test the water quality. While waiting for the results, the school will allow students to use Lavie bottled water instead.
