On the afternoon of July 29, a press conference to announce Vietnam Pho Festival 2024 - a special culinary cultural event was organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper and Saigon Tourist Group.
Vietnam Pho Festival 2024 is scheduled to take place on October 5 and 6, 2024 in Seoul, South Korea. The festival includes a series of events expected to bring Korean people, Vietnamese people living in Korea and international visitors the opportunity to explore the value, history and culinary culture of Vietnam through "Pho ambassadors".
Mr. Le The Chu, Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper, co-head of the Festival Steering Committee, said that with Vietnam Pho Festival 2024, the organizing committee hopes to introduce to the Korean people the unique culinary cultural values, promote the images and economic potential of Vietnam. Thereby, contributing to promoting cultural exchange and connection as well as economic relations, fostering the friendship between Vietnam and Korea to become deeper and stronger.

Mr. Pham Huy Binh, Chairman of the Board of Members, Saigon Tourist Group, co-head of the festival's Steering Committee, informed that Korea is currently Vietnam's leading international tourist market, and is also a country with a large number of overseas Vietnamese living and working.
"Saigontourist Group continues to accompany Tuoi Tre newspaper to bring pho and other delicious Vietnamese dishes to serve the overseas Vietnamese and foreigners in Korea, contributing to promoting the quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine to the world. Thereby, it aims to create a highlight to attract more Korean tourists to Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam," said Mr. Huy Binh.

During the days of the event, Vietnam Pho Festival 2024 will feature many famous pho brands from Vietnam, along with some famous pho restaurants in Seoul, serving Korean diners. This will help them better understand the Vietnamese spirit in the famous Vietnamese dish. It is expected that there will be about 80 pho stalls and other dishes in this festival.
The festival also has exhibition spaces, cultural experiences, tourism, economics, etc., helping visitors have a close-up and multi-dimensional view of Vietnam. During the two days, the program also has performances, art exchanges, culinary art exchanges, and folk games on stage and in the festival area.
