On the afternoon of December 10th, the video editing application CapCut held the event "CapCut AI Creator Lab: Unleashing the Future" to review the practical contributions of AI tools in optimizing video production processes and to propose new development directions for the application of AI in creative and content editing activities in Vietnam.

The "mini version" AI model is the most used in Vietnam with 720,000 uses.
Ms. Mai Dang, Operations Director of CapCut Vietnam, stated that CapCut is among the top 10 most downloaded apps globally with over 500 million downloads. The app has transcended the notion of "stuttering CapCut" to become a versatile and easy-to-use editing tool for everyone.
In Vietnam, the community of AI prototyping creators on CapCut numbers in the hundreds of thousands, comprising a diverse group of people, including not only AI experts, video editors, and multimedia designers, but also engineers, doctors, and nurses.
AI templates created by Vietnamese creators have achieved millions of uses and gone viral globally, playing a crucial role in bringing AI technology closer to the average user. With these "AI templates," creators can pre-set prompts, lighting, and effects so that ordinary users can simply add their own content to create beautiful videos.

The "painting" trend is very viral in Vietnam.
According to Ms. Mai Dang, the AI tools in CapCut help increase efficiency and reduce costs in creating videos, including standard advertising videos used by brands and broadcast on national television.
In 2025, CapCut Vietnam focuses on community development, divided into three groups: a team of experts, a successor community, and a outreach program to make video editing easy for everyone.

Nguyen Thai Toan, the creator of the globally viral "flying man" trend.
Nguyen Thai Toan, the creator of the "flying person" AI filter with 1.6 million uses, said that he graduated from university with a degree in mechanical engineering, unrelated to graphic design, but he unexpectedly found his calling as an AI designer.
Initially, the prototype versions of the flying character were flawed, such as "plunging headfirst into the ground," but they later became successful, going viral globally and opening up many opportunities for him to earn income from his creative passion.
"AI isn't magic; it's just a tool. What makes the difference is human creativity," Toan concluded.
Mr. Toan is also one of the individuals honored at the "CapCut AI Award 2025" - the biggest event of the year to find and honor "masters" of AI storytelling – those who know how to harmoniously combine artistic thinking and technological tools.
