The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued guidelines for schools to invite experts, artisans, artists, coaches, and athletes to teach students.

Who is invited?

Specifically, the school gives priority to inviting:

Experts and scientists with high professional qualifications, degrees and certificates appropriate to the industry or industry group, practical experience and professional reputation in related fields and recognized achievements and research works.

Artisans and artists who have achieved titles conferred by the State or have won awards at the ministerial or provincial level or higher or from professional associations, and have made contributions recognized by professionals and the public.

Coaches have a diploma or coaching certificate issued by a competent authority or have achievements in coaching athletes to win awards in high-performance sports tournaments, and have practical experience in coaching and training.

Athletes who have achieved level 1 athlete level or higher or won medals and prizes in high-performance sports tournaments.

The teacher is still in charge.

The guidelines also state that in coordination, school teachers take the role of leading and managing the classroom.

Experts, artisans, artists, coaches, and athletes play a role in providing specialized knowledge, specific skills, and practical experience to supplement. At the same time, they support teachers in organizing educational activities to ensure output standards.

The coordination mechanism must be clearly demonstrated through the assignment of tasks, exchange of expertise, management, use of facilities, teaching equipment and evaluation of coordination effectiveness.

To invite experts, artisans, artists, coaches, and athletes, schools must have specific plans that are suitable to the actual conditions of the school.

In addition, it is necessary to ensure the consensus principle of the participating parties, unification of viewpoints, content, programs, methods, pedagogical style... The coordination mechanism and financial mechanism must be clear and transparent.

Experts, artisans, artists... can participate in teaching through lessons, seminars, organizing workshops, training, performances, competitions, traditional craft exchanges; arranged in the second session at schools that teach 2 sessions/day or put into operation sports clubs, life skills, arts...

There are criteria and treatment policies.

The Ministry of Education and Training requires the Departments of Education and Training to advise the People's Committees of provinces and cities to implement many solutions.

In particular, it is necessary to issue standards, criteria, and preferential policies for the above mobilized forces, encourage the socialization of education, and mobilize resources from the community, businesses, and social organizations.

Departments of education and training need to develop a coordination program between the education sector and agencies, cultural, artistic, sports units, and local authorities. It is possible to deploy pilot models and organize training in pedagogical skills for this force.

Before implementing, schools must survey actual needs and publicly notify parents.
