(To Quoc) - The Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024, featuring dozens of unique art programs, has attracted considerable attention from locals and tourists.

Taking place from June 7th to 12th, the Hue International Arts Festival 2024, themed "Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development," brought together nearly 30 art troupes from Vietnam and abroad, offering audiences dozens of artistic programs showcasing the rich cultural identities of various regions around the world .

Artistic programs blend seamlessly into the ancient atmosphere of a culturally rich former imperial capital with 8 UNESCO-recognized heritage sites. Hue – Vietnam's Festival City – continues to radiate the vitality of a green, environmentally friendly, and sustainable urban environment.

According to the Hue Festival Organizing Committee, with 12 main programs, 24 art performances at various stages, and nearly 10 supporting activities, exhibitions, and displays taking place continuously throughout the province, the activities during the Hue International Art Festival Week attracted a large audience.

Specifically, the "Opening Ceremony" in front of Ngo Mon Gate attracted nearly 2,000 spectators.

The opening ceremony of the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 was attended by approximately 5,000 spectators.

The "Colorful Culture" street festival is expected to attract around 20,000 visitors over two days on both the North and South banks of Hue city.

The program featured performances by domestic and international art troupes, with 20 shows at two community venues, serving 30,000 spectators.


The Bia Quoc Hoc stage alone attracts a large audience of fans who come to watch performances by famous bands, averaging between 2,000 and nearly 3,000 spectators per show.

Despite being affected by heavy rain, the "Trinh Cong Son Dialogue - Love Found" music program still attracted approximately 5,000 attendees.

The Lantern Festival attracted nearly 4,000 visitors; the Vegetarian Food Festival served over 5,000 guests over two days and nights; and the Royal Banquet and Royal Night Culinary Show were positioned in the high-end service segment, catering to approximately 350 VIP guests.

The Light Festival at the grounds of Thai Binh Lau and Thieu Phuong Garden (Hue Imperial Citadel) attracted more than 10,000 visitors.

The Beer Festival attracted over 10,000 in-person attendees and 50,000 simultaneous livestream viewers on its Facebook Fanpage.

The "Tam Giang Water Festival," with its series of activities taking place over two days and nights, is estimated to attract around 15,000 visitors.

The "Returning to Hue Festival" art program (concluding the Hue International Art Festival Week 2024) attracted approximately 6,000 attendees and tens of thousands of indirect viewers at Ngo Mon Square.

In addition, the celebratory activities also attracted a large number of visitors, such as: the contemporary dance performance "Reflection" by artist Xuan Le from France, the "Festival 2024 Painting Street" exhibition, the "Fine Arts and Heritage III" exhibition, the "Buddhist Culture - Hue Festival 2024" exhibition, and the photo exhibition "Towards the Paris 2024 Olympics!"...

During the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024, the Hue Imperial Citadel Complex welcomed 54,500 visitors. This included 7,695 international visitors and 46,805 Vietnamese visitors. Estimated revenue reached 8 billion VND.

According to statistics from the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Tourism, from June 7th to June 12th, 2024, the total number of tourists visiting the province was estimated at 101,000, with revenue from tourism services estimated at 159 billion VND. The number of overnight stays was estimated at 49,000 (including nearly 9,310 international tourists), and the average hotel occupancy rate reached 70%.

At the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024, more than 565 artists, musicians, singers, and actors from Vietnam and abroad, along with a large number of amateur artists, performers, students, and more, participated in showcasing the unique, sophisticated, and diverse forms of art. They gave their all on stage to bring audiences an artistic feast brimming with cultural identity, expressing aspirations for a world of peace, friendship, cooperation, and shared development among nations.
