Is it difficult to get a Japanese visa? If I'm in Hanoi , where should I go?
I want to travel to Japan in the fall and am looking into visa procedures. Apart from the embassy, is there any place in Hanoi that can do visas? Also, if I go on a tour at the end of October, which travel agency should I choose?
Thanks.

According to the Japan National Tourism Organization in Vietnam (JNTO), citizens of 68 countries and territories traveling to Japan for tourism purposes, including Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the US, the UK and most European countries, do not need a visa (with applicable regulations and conditions) and are granted short-term stay permits upon arrival in Japan. Visitors from outside these 68 countries, including Vietnam, must apply for a visa.
Procedures for applying for a tourist visa to Japan can be found here. Whether or not a visa is granted depends on each traveler's profile.
