Blocker Le Thanh Thuy is a pillar of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team. She has participated in many SEA Games and continues to be trusted by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet at SEA Games 33. Meanwhile, martial artist Le Minh Thuan, captain of the karate team who won the gold medal at SEA Games 29 in 2017, is considered one of the veteran and exemplary faces in the martial arts community.
This is the first time Le Thanh Thuy and Le Minh Thuan have been chosen to be the flag bearers representing the 1,165 members of the Vietnamese sports delegation at a SEA Games. Two years ago, this honor belonged to swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang.

On December 7, the Vietnamese sports delegation will officially depart for Thailand to attend the 33rd SEA Games. Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department was assigned to lead the delegation. It is expected that about 200 members will represent Vietnam to attend the opening ceremony held in Bangkok on December 9.
The 33rd SEA Games will officially open on December 9 in Bangkok. Before the opening ceremony, in addition to the men's and women's football teams that have left early according to the competition schedule, on December 7, head of delegation Nguyen Hong Minh, along with his deputy delegation members, officials, doctors and several other teams will follow him to Thailand, ready to embark on the journey to conquer the 33rd SEA Games.
