(NLDO) – The main Press Center (MPC) of the 33rd SEA Games is located in the headquarters of the National Broadcasting and Television of Thailand, with strict security.

On December 3, many Vietnamese reporters were present at the MPC – about 45-60 minutes by car from Rajamangala Stadium (where the opening and closing ceremonies will be held) – to complete the procedures to receive their badges. The journey to the MPC also revealed a familiar "specialty" of Bangkok: long traffic jams on main roads.

Right from the entrance gate, reporters had to go through many layers of security checks and have their personal belongings scanned.

According to the Organizing Committee, MPC is open from 8am to 10pm every day during the 33rd SEA Games to provide maximum support to the international media. The space is conveniently arranged to help reporters update news and process content quickly.

Inside the MPC, the work area is equipped with 30 desktop computers with high-speed internet connection, printers and information boards necessary for operations.

Notably, the Organizing Committee arranged a buffet counter to serve free snacks for reporters. Lunch is provided at the canteen from 11:30 to 14:30 every day, helping the press corps have more energy during the high-intensity work.

Currently, when the 33rd SEA Games has not officially opened (from 9-12), the activities at MPC are still in the final stage, the number of reporters coming to work is not too crowded. However, today the men's football competition starts, so the atmosphere at MPC is somewhat bustling.

The first Vietnamese reporters received press cards at the 33rd SEA Games.

The 33rd SEA Games will take place from December 9 to 20, but some events will start before the opening ceremony. Over the past few days, many press delegations from different countries have come to the MPC to receive their credentials and prepare to cover the biggest sporting event in the region.
