9th grade female student in Quang Tri dies after fainting during physical education class

TPO - A 9th grade female student at Quang Xuan Secondary School (Quang Trach Commune, Quang Tri Province) died after suddenly collapsing while running a short distance during a physical education class on the afternoon of November 26.

On the afternoon of November 27, Mr. Nguyen Minh Lam, Principal of Quang Xuan Secondary School, confirmed that VTLĐ. (born in 2011), a 9th grade student of the school, had an accident while participating in a 60-70 meter run. When he showed signs of fatigue, he switched to walking and suddenly fell down in the school yard.

The family held a funeral according to local tradition for D.

The teacher immediately took the child to Quang Trach Commune Health Station, then transferred him to Bac Quang Tri Regional General Hospital, but D. did not survive.

Immediately after the incident, the Quang Trach commune government, the Board of Directors of Quang Xuan Secondary School, along with organizations and neighbors came to offer condolences and encourage the family to overcome the loss.

The school said it will coordinate to support necessary procedures and accompany the family in the coming time.
